9 months...

As promised, here are Sarah’s 9 month well baby check-up stats:
Weight: 17lbs (10-25%)
Length: 26.5” (10%)
Head cir: 17.75” (75%)
The doctor said she looks great and is surprisingly agreeable for her age. This was because Sarah did not exhibit any stranger anxiety, so the exam when very smoothly.

Sarah is now walking more than she crawls. Her fascination with looking up continues. She still enjoys squealing very loudly, but now for longer periods of time and I think she’s actually louder now. Luckily this does not happen all the time, but when she decides to make noise, having normal conversation is very difficult. Because she’s moving so much these days, she loosing some of her chunkiness, leaning up. Don’t worry. She is still cute and chubby. But it makes me a little sad though…

So far Sarah really likes the foods we’ve tried, with 2 exceptions – peas and squash. She highly objects to squash with full body gagging. She's now got TWO bottom teeth and continues to chew on EVERYTHING!

After much apprehension on my part and much encouragement from Kyle, Sarah will start attending a Parent’s Day Out (PDO) program this fall. She will go Tuesday and Thursday morning, 4 hours each day. This should allow me time to study for the A.R.E. and to get chores and errands done sans baby. The program is part of Avondale United Methodist Church and is only 5 minutes from our house. The PDO program is relatively small and is a mission of the church, not a money maker. I was very impressed by the staff and teachers. It is evident that they all love the children very much. More on this in September, when the session starts.

I’ve added more pictures to June, be sure to check them out!
